The Opportunity

Adept Consumer Package Goods (CPG) has an assignment on-site with a client located in Middlesex County, NJ. The Packaging Engineer II will be responsible for package and process development and improvement, equipment, and material sourcing/qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage package development requests from concept to commercialization. Package development includes primary, secondary and tertiary packaging designs
• Follow a product development process using an engineering methodology
• Coordinate and participate in all sampling qualifications runs and line trials
• Assist with efficiency improvement programs, (i.e. cycle improvement, light-weighting, downtown reduction, etc)
• Assist with new material evaluations, process and mod development programs that create standard work

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in packaging engineering
• Minimum 2 years packaging engineering experience including in manufacturing environment; ideally working with glass, corrugate. 
• Must have a strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment for the industry
• Intermediate understanding of project timeline development.
• Demonstrated effective communications (verbally and in writing) across internal and external teams.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time efficiently and effectively across multiple activities and tasks simultaneously.

This role is hybrid 2 to 3 days a week.
