The Opportunity
Adept Group is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer (1099 Contractor) to add to our team! This candidate would have full packaging development experience within Food Packaging Engineering. This person would have experience leading packaging development/support infinitives.
This is a 1099 Contractor (Independent Contractor) opportunity for 12 months at 40-hours per week. This person must be located in ether EST or CST. Occasional travel possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full scale packaging development and engineering leadership/support
- Lead technical validation efforts for corrugate, shrink sleeves, and rigid plastic packaging (including PCR resin)
- Coordinate supplier sample acquisition and line trials
- Document trial outcomes and update specifications
- Ensure regulatory compliance and support cost-saving initiatives
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience within Food Packaging Engineering
- Rigid plastics: Trays & PET Bottles, Caps/Closures
- Project Management & Technical Leadership
- Spec Development/Management
- PLM Experience
Nice-to-Haves:
- Sustainability knowledge/experience
- ERP Experience
