The Opportunity
Adept Group is seeking a proactive Account Manager to serve as the primary client contact for Key Account relationships. This person will build strong client relationships to lead clients to purchase Adept’s staffing, consulting, and optimization services, ensuring satisfaction, growth and acting as an internal champion for client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client accounts; build trusted relationships and become a strategic advisor.
- Manage day-to-day client communications, status updates, meetings, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate cross-functional Adept teams (engineers, designers, consultants, optimization specialists, contractors) to deliver projects on scope, schedule and budget.
- Develop and maintain account plans, forecasts, and KPIs, track project progress and financial performance.
- Identify client needs and opportunities for additional services (staffing, consulting, value optimization); prepare proposals and negotiate scopes and pricing with support from Sales/Leadership.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding of staffing placements; verify candidate fit and manage client feedback.
- Advocate for packaging sustainability initiatives and support clients on packaging optimization and compliance goals.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, prepare regular client reports, and executive summaries.
- Participate in contract reviews, renewals, and escalation management as needed.
- Represent Adept at client-facing events and support business development when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Packaging Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years client-facing account or project management experience, highly preferred in packaging, CPG, food & beverage, or industrial sectors.
- Understanding of packaging development, production processes, materials, and sustainability best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion.
- Financial acumen: Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L monitoring.
- Comfortable with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), project management tools, and MS Office.
- Professional demeanor, proactive problem-solving mindset.
Preferred:
- Packaging engineering or sustainability certifications.
- Experience working for a staffing firm or consulting services provider.
- Experience with regulatory compliance requirements for packaging (e.g., FDA, ISO).

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $130,000
