The Opportunity

With a strong foundation of prestigious clients and technical credibility, we are now building the commercial engine to scale aggressively.
 
We’re seeking a hands-on Director of Sales & Marketing to architect, execute, and operationalize our growth strategy! This is a “player-coach” role for a dynamic leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, someone equally comfortable closing high-value deals, building and leading a commercial team, and driving operational excellence.
 
Your Mission
As Director of Sales & Marketing, you will own the demand generation and revenue growth engine for Adept. You will:
  • Develop and execute integrated sales and marketing strategies that drive consistent, scalable revenue growth.
  • Build, coach, and scale a high-performing commercial team aligned to business goals and culture.
  • Lead day-to-day sales operations, pipeline management, forecasting, and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve client acquisition, retention, and overall customer experience. Drive continuous process improvement and operational discipline across the commercial organization.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Execution
  • Drive profitable revenue growth by bringing in and converting opportunities.
  • Build relationships with clients, prosects and market movers.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy.
  • Build, coach, and scale a high-performing team across sales, marketing, and recruiting.
  • Lead pipeline development and conversion strategies across channels.
  • Partner with marketing to drive lead generation, qualification, and nurture.
  • Manage to KPIs, sales metrics, and CRM-driven pipeline forecasting.
  • Participate in setting the strategy for the company including expansion into verticals and customer segments.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, including partnerships and potential M&A opportunities.
Marketing Leadership & Alignment
  • Partner closely with the leadership team to align campaigns with sales goals and drive full-funnel demand generation.
  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and content strategy across digital, ABM, and event channels.
  • Optimize lead generation, lead nurturing, and MQL-to-SQL conversion rates using HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Kentico CMS, and other tools.
  • Lead thought leadership initiatives that establish Adept as a trusted expert in packaging, CPG, pharma, and life sciences sectors.
  • Measure and improve marketing ROI and performance metrics quarter-over-quarter.
Must Haves
  • Proven senior-level sales leadership experience with a track record of exceeding 7-figure annual revenue targets.
  • Experience building and scaling commercial teams (sales and marketing) and functions in professional services, consulting, or complex B2B technical industries (Packaging in the CPG, Pharma, or sustainability).
  • Strong operational mindset with experience developing sales/marketing playbooks, CRM systems (HubSpot strongly preferred), and data-driven processes.
  • Skilled in consultative and enterprise-level sales, comfortable leading both strategy and execution.
  • Player-coach mentality: able to lead teams and personally close deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including client-facing presentations and internal stakeholder alignment.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Background in packaging, supply chain, sustainability, or contract services.
  • Experience in strategic partnerships, channel development, licensing, or M&A.
  • Familiarity with founder-led or PE-backed company growth environments.
